What a beautiful day it was here today. Scott and the boys went to tear down a building we are going to rebuild here for our baby animals this spring. We are planning on some chickens, piglets, a cow, and a goat (maybe). ( I want fresh milk and butter :)

Here is the view we looked at all day! Those mountains in the background are Russel and Bald Mtn.

Here is a close up of Russel and Bald Mtn.

Guess what I was doing in the back yard while enjoying my view!

I was boiling sap!!

We didn't have alot of sap. We will probably end up with a quart, and I'll take it!! We heard on the news maple syrup will be $60.00 a gallon this year!! I guess they are going to export it to Europe, so we will have to pay more! If you have the money and you can buy it now before it goes up in price, you should :)

Old Glory was waving at us all day. We have had some really high winds here yesterday and today. I love our flag and flagpole. I had Scott put it right in the center of my flower garden. The flag was up before we even had the house done! Priorities you know ;)
My mother showed up to help me, and came bearing gifts! She spoils her children and grandchildren!

Acelia will be taking care of the 40 layers this summer, mom thought the straw hat would be appropriate, it will also be good while we are picking strawberries and working in the garden :) (I can't wait)

I call this "The Picture of the Day!" Miss Neva claimed my seat! She is sunning herself. :)
Well I'm going to my
hidden retreat for a bubble bath! All the smoke and wind has left me tired and stuffed up! :)
Hope you had a great day too!!

Kerri, we had a beautiful day here too yesterday, though it's pouring today. What gorgeous views you have; just breath-taking!

I enjoyed reading about your day and seeing your snow. We don't get hardly any snow here (NC) though I know what it is to live in snow country (upstate NY and Maine). Beautiful scenery.
