Welcome To Our Home!

I thought I would take you on a tour of our new log home. I posted some pictures of the outside of our home earlier this week. Lets start in the mudroom. Upon entering our mudroom you will see a bathroom to your right, and our kitchen straight ahead! My husband almost deleted this bathroom from the original plans, but thinking things over we decided to keep it. With the four kids running in and out all the time for the bathroom, this was a wise decision!! No more tracking all thru the house!

This is my favorite piece in our mudroom. It was a thank you gift from the furniture shop we purchased our furniture and pictures from!! I was decorating our home in an Italian/European style and loved this!
I love cooking in my kitchen. The kids sit right up at the bar and talk to me while I cook. It is also a great place to set up a buffet at Christmas and Thanksgiving. My husband made sure I had plenty of counter space to do all my baking on!! Our cabinets were custom made by a local shop 2 miles from here. They are so beautiful and not as pricey as you may think!

Well, I smell the chicken in that crock pot on the counter! I need to get the potatoes on and some vegetables. Scott will be home soon! Tomorrow I will post some more of the tour! Just wait till you see the retreat in the master bedroom ;o).
