Quebec Fires
Currently Dean is in Quebec somewhere fighting forest fires. I'm not sure if this is one of the locations he is at, but I found this footage on my updates page that Dean linked me to so I could stay updated while he was away. There are several forest fires going on right now, hopefully they will have them under control soon.

Plants
The weather has been so beautiful for the past few days.
I have several perennials to plant.
Some are for medicinal purposes and some are for landscaping...
....and......some are to eat!
Today being Sunday and the weather being in the 80's, I am blogging out on my front porch with ice water and a breeze blowing!

Onions and Bloodroot
Today TJ helped me till three rows and I have one already planted full.
Yellow onions and red onions...
I also built myself a screen to screen some loam to add to this bed, and planted my bloodroot.
Dinner
We were so happy to be eating asparagus from our garden
last night. We had grass fed beef and white potatoes to go with it!
Scott informed me last night that we don't have enough asparagus so
it's going on the lists for next spring!

Planting....
My new Honeysuckle tree.
I have two totes FULL of herbs, flowers, and shrubs to plant this weekend.
The weather is suppose to be beautiful.
More Progress
My husband and his crew have been working hard the past two days. We are trying to get our barn completed and the horses and chickens moved in.
Today they put the deck on, built and hung a lot of doors, and painted.
Here's the surprise Scott did for me. 4A for 4 Arrows!!
We turned one entire stall into a chicken coop! No more lugging water. Everyone gets fed
and watered in the barn!!
I LOVE this dutch door!!
Scott had some left over log siding and did the wall in the tack room.
Three stall doors done!

Honey Bee...
Ladders leading to the loft at both ends of the barn have been built and installed....

I am told there will be a surprise on the front barn doors!!
I can't wait to see them!!
Franks's Cucina
So when Scott asked me if I wanted to attend an Italian Supper Club, I said sure why not!
I had no idea how fun, relaxed, and amazing it would be!
I would make the trip to Cape Cod for this one night !!!
Frank (above and below) putting the finishing touches on
pan seared flounder served on pan fried daikon radish slices with his balsamic reduction!
WOW!! doesn't even begin to describe it!!
Lobster and baby artichoke risotto.....

Their home is so warm and inviting. A traditional Cape that has one of the most welcoming
atmospheres I have ever been in.
I have yet to find this in a restaurant!
