A Trip To The Goat Farm

Well, I'm still having trouble with my slow dial-up. It took a long time to "tag" someone else, and I gave up. Sorry about that. I did hear that someone saw on the news that the state is trying to get DSL state wide for everyone. I hope this is true. It is very frustrating when it keeps jamming up.
I know I was suppose to keep that going, but I couldn't, sorry.

Thursday the boys and I had a busy day. We went to Pizza Hut for pizza, and then bowling. I tried to plan something fun for us since Scott and Acelia were away :) We then went to a goat farm. We are planning on getting a milking goat, and wanted to see some and buy some milk.

These goats are so sweet, and the milk was great. I am very excited to have one and be able to have the fresh milk and cream.

The dark colored ones are Alpine's and the white are Saanen.

I am not sure what I would like to get for goats. The Nubien goat milk is very good for butter, which we would like to have. The Saanen are big milk producers which is what we also want.

This little guys name is Lance. He is quite the character!

See what I mean. David loved this goat and wanted to take him home.

The only thing that went wrong with our outing is Timothy got really sick with a flu thing. He has asthma so I was really concerned. He had a fever and a nasty cough. I think he is on the mend now though. I'll be happy for the warmer weather.

Hope your weekend is going great!

Hi Kerri,

Don't worry about the tagging. Personally, I dislike them and I usually will post whatever it is I'm supposed to do but never pass it on.

I love the goats! I've been meaning to purchase some goat's milk to try for my daughter who is allergic to dairy products. They are so cute and I would love a goat but I don't think my landlord would allow it - LOL!

Have a blessed day,

Terri

Sounds like you had a great trip to the goat farm. The pictures are great. We had goats when I was young and we drank the milk. My father got rid of them later on and then another time, I had a goat for a pet and he would play Hide and Seek with me and my brothers. We love him but my Mom didn't like him because he got in her flowers. So we had to get rid of him. I sure did miss my pet at the time.

We had a goat for a little while when I was growing up, they are such happy friendly critters! I hope you find the perfect one(s) for your farm and I will pray Timothy feels better soon.
Hugs,
Kelli
